The fact that pianist Duke Pearson always hit the right note and had a fine touch technique was demonstrated on his tenth Blue Note album “The Right Touch” in 1967. At AllMusic, the hard bop album spiced with Latin elements, described there as “one of the best recordings in Duke Pearson’s career,” received the rare top rating of five stars.
