This all-Schumann release by Bulgarian-Austrian Pianist Dora Deliyska features Kreisleriana op. 16 – character pieces addressed to Schumann’s not-as-of-yet wife and great love Clara Wieck, the Kinderszenen op. 15 and two of the Six Studies after Caprices by Paganini op. 3. Ms. Deliyska is considered one of the most important Liszt interpreters of her generation. Her discography features recordings of piano works by Franz Liszt (2008), by Liszt and Chopin (2010), Schubert-Liszt song transcriptions (2011) as well Schubert alone (2013).
