Dmitri Shostakovich: String Quartets Nos. 9 & 15 – Carducci Quartet

In the third installment of the highly acclaimed complete recording of Dmitri Shostakovich’s string quartets with the Carducci String Quartet, the 9th and 15th string quartets are juxtaposed. The recordings were made as part of the Shostakovich 15 project with performances of complete quartet cycles in the USA, Great Britain and Colombia to mark the 40th anniversary of the composer’s death.
