The music of Dmitri Kabalevsky (1904-1987) is particularly characterized by its catchy melodicism. Meanwhile neglected in favor of Prokofieff and Shostakovich, at least his suite “The Comedians” also enjoys a certain popularity in Western Europe. Here the work is heard together with other orchestral works by the composer. |
