“Marrakesh Express” is one of Stan Getz’s lesser known albums. For the recording, the tenor saxophonist had traveled to London in 1969 to record a program of contemporary pop songs by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, the Beatles, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Harry Nilsson and Graham Nash at Abbey Road Studios under the direction of legendary Beatles producer George Martin.
