The musical partnership of vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson and tenor saxophonist Harold Land reached a peak in 1970 with their joint album “San Francisco,” on which both musicians moved into fusion territory, with grooving tracks like “Goin’ Down South” and “Ummh,” as well as more experimental pieces like the fascinating “Prints Tie.”
