Organist Brother Jack McDuff joined Blue Note in 1969 and recorded Moon Rappin’, one of the most ambitious albums of his career. Released in 1970, it featured five funky, off-the-wall originals, including “Oblighetto,” which was later sampled by A Tribe Called Quest as the basis for two of their classic hip-hop tracks, “Scenario” and “Check The Rhime.”

This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition was mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
