Rather, Pass pays tribute to Django with his own masterful guitar style, accompanied by fellow guitarist John Pisano as well as bassist Jim Hughart and drummer Colin Bailey. Highlights of this program of pieces either composed by or associated with Django include “Rosetta,” “Nuages,” and “Fleur D’ Ennui.” Blue Note Records’ Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Reissue Series is produced by Joe Harley and features all-analog, 180g audiophile vinyl reissues mastered from the original master tapes in deluxe packaging.
