Detailed Presentation
Viktoria Mullova does not allow herself to be pressed into any schema, playing works from the baroque to the new music. Despite her stylistic versatility, she always convinces with her brilliant, balanced violin tone in all registers and above all with her flawless, brilliant technique. On her latest recording, she not only records works for the first time with her new Guadagnini violin from 1750, but also uses baroque playing techniques, as she always does with pre-romantic repertoire. She is accompanied by Ottavio Dantone, the director of the Accademia Bizantina and one of the world’s leading harpsichordists. |
