Eight HD cameras, dollies, cranes and remote technology were used for the concert recordings in front of an industrial backdrop, and recordings of the Schumann symphonies were made as never before.

In the concert film “Schumann at Pier2” by director Christian Berger, conductor Paavo Järvi and selected orchestral musicians explain important passages of the symphonies and provide background information on the life of Robert Schumann. The film also provides exclusive insights into the rehearsals and shows important excerpts from the symphonies.
