Andrzej Dziadek is a composer whose family roots go back to the Cieszyn region. As a mature artist, he uses a coherent and clearly recognizable sound language; the metamorphosis of this language manifests itself only in the perspective of many years of work, the results of which are recorded on the album. The selected works show Dziadek as a representative of a music that refers to tradition and does not shy away from the religious context; at the same time, his music is thoroughly modern in its postmodern poetics. The present album is another one devoted entirely to the music of Andrzej Dziadek for large instrumental and vocal and instrumental ensembles. Like the previous one, this album shows the diversity of the artists achievements in this field; it includes: Poemat [Poem] for orchestra (1987), Concerto for violin and orchestra (1992) and Symphony No. 2 Te Deum (20002002). Thus, the featured works, arranged chronologically, constitute a cross-section of the composers activity over the course of fifteen years.
