Influenced by the musical traditions of his hometown Leipzig, Heinz Rögner (1929-2001) was always a servant at work. Rögner worked mainly in Berlin and in Leipzig, but was also extremely well-known and popular in Japan. GENUIN, together with MDR, dedicates a box set to him that includes concert recordings from the Gewandhaus from 1994-2001 with works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schubert and others.
