Destination Rachmaninov: The Piano Concertos & Transcriptions – Daniil Trifonov

The journey continues: Deutsche Grammophon is releasing an exclusive box set of the four piano concertos, recorded by Daniil Trifonov and the Philadelphia Orchestra under the baton of Yannick Nézét -Séguin, to mark the 150th Rachmaninoff anniversary. Also included are the Paganini Rhapsody, as well as Trifonov’s own Rachmaninoff transcriptions.

This 3-CD box set offers not only Trifonov’s arrangement of the world-famous “Vocalise” on CD for the first time, but in a stunning Dolby Atmos-only audio format on Blu-Ray, the concertos and transcriptions as well.
