Live From Buenos Aires! Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim play Schumann, Debussy and Bartók

Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim are not only connected by a long-standing friendship, but also by their birthplace Buenos Aires. Exactly there – within the framework of Daniel Barenboim’s “Festival de Música y Reflexión” – their latest album “Piano Duos II: Live from Buenos Aires” was also recorded in June 2015, which perfectly captures the atmosphere of a magical concert evening in Buenos Aires. The programme included Debussy’s arrangement of Schumann’s “Six Studies in Canonic Form for Two Pianos, Op. 56”, the suite “En blanc et noir” and Béla Bartók’s Sonata for two pianos and percussion. Until now, the recording was only available in digital form. As of 11 March, it is now also physically available.
