Lotte Lenya has been an Austrian singer and actress. She played a role in the Bertolt Brecht / Kurt Weill play Dreigroschenoper and sang in Die sieben Todsünden (Ballett). In 1935 she moved with her husband Kurt Weill to New York where she performed on Broadway in the 40s and 50s. As an actress she became well known as ‘Rosa Klebb’ in the 1963 James Bond “Liebesgrüße aus Moskau”. In 1956 Lotte Lenya received a Tony Award for her role in the Threepenny Opera and this was the only time a non-Broadway performance was so honored. With a mature voice Lenya re-recorded some songs from her Berlin and US stage days.
