“The Full Flavor”, the debut album from the Ray Gelato Giants, is Vegas-style Rat Pack Swing at its finest. Ray Gelato is a dynamic and charismatic bandleader who mixes the popular jump ‘n’ jive sound of the golden era of swing with Louis Prima influences and the spirit of Harlem.

The setlist includes tracks made famous by Louis Prima (‘That Old Black Magic’ and a medley of ‘Basin Street Blues’ and ‘Sleepy Time Down South’), Charlie Ventura (‘Dark Eyes’), Dean Martin and Nat ‘King’ Cole and a rare uptempo version of ‘As Time Goes By’.

Claire Martin, fresh from winning ‘Best Jazz Singer’ at the 1995 British Jazz Awards, is guest vocalist, while band legend Benny Green contributes the booklet note.
