When Art Blakey entered the Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs with his Jazz Messengers in August 1960, the drummer was bursting with enthusiasm. Within two days, enough material was recorded for two albums: the classic “A Night In Tunisia” and “Like Someone In Love”. According to AllMusic, the latter offered an “excellent program with high-quality hard bop and three lesser-known compositions by Wayne Shorter”. Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition: Stereo, mastered by Kevin Gray, pressed on 180g vinyl by Optimal, in a single sleeve. |
