On his album “Let Freedom Ring”, saxophonist Jackie McLean reflects the change that was in the air in 1962: the musical freedoms of the emerging avant-garde and the social changes sought by the civil rights movement. He is accompanied by Walter Davis Jr. on piano, Herbie Lewis on bass and Billy Higgins on drums.
