New on the LPO label: Sir Mark Elder conducts the world premiere performance of Sir James MacMillan’s Christmas Oratorio, with soprano Lucy Crowe, baritone Roderick Williams and the London Philharmonic Orchestra & Choir. Recorded live in concert at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on 4 December 2021. Release date November 2022. Commissioned by the London Philharmonic Orchestra with the generous support of The Boltini Trust, NTR Zaterdagmatinee, Radio 4’s concert series in The Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
