The Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus are conducted by Neeme Järvi with Gennady Rozhdestvensky as the speaker. The recording comprises the Cantata for the Twentieth Anniversary of the October Revolution, Op. 74, and excerpts from The Tale of the Stone Flower, Op. 11. The original Chandos release represented the first complete recording of Prokofiev’s Cantata. The disc is now re-issued on Chandos Classics.
