In a 14-CD box set, Decca is releasing for the first time the entire recordings of the Medieval Ensemble of London that the group recorded between 1980 and 1985 for the L’Oiseau-Lyre label and released in the Florilegium series. Thus, this box set brings together the seminal recordings of medieval works with those of the Renaissance, many of which have won prestigious awards and received critical acclaim. Collectors will appreciate the iconic original sleeves – with white background and a painting from the time the music was composed – as well as the original sequence of individual tracks, which has been retained for this edition.
