This quintessential collector’s edition contains Booker T. and The M.G.s’ outstanding debut LP, Green Onions (1962) – one of the alltime cornerstones of soul and R&B. The album includes the legendary title track that became a major hit, its original B-side(“Behave Yourself”), a new composition dubbed “Mo’ Onions”, and nine assorted covers of popular R&B hits of the period. In addition, this remastered CD features 8 bonus tracks, presenting some of the album’s songs recorded by other seminalartists. This is the material upon which the Memphis soul legacy was built.
