Organist Gloria Coleman discovered drummer Pola Roberts and formed a female band with her. in 1963, the “Soul Sisters”, joined by guitarist Grant Green and Leo Wright on saxophone, recorded this soulful album, which is probably unique in the Impulse catalog. Produced by Bob Thiele and recorded by Rudy Van Gelder.
