The discovery of the renowned festivals of Aix-en-Provence and Pesaro now on Sony Classical: the Russian soprano Olga Peretyatko. Born in Petersburg, studied in Berlin and with a rapid career in France and Italy, she is now setting out to conquer German stages with Italian temperament, Russian soul and dazzling looks. Known from the Arte broadcasts “Folles Journées” and the live broadcasts of the opera “Rossignol” from Aix-en-Provence, on her first album she sings highlights and precious rarities of the Italian repertoire (from “Rigoletto”, “Liebestrank”, “Lucia di Lammermohr”), but also French arias by Massenet and Offenbach as well as Adele from the “Fledermaus” “Fledermaus”. The young Russian will be accompanied by the Munich Radio Orchestra under Miguel-Gomez Martinez

Olga Peretyatko is preceded by great praise: New York Times and Le Figaro see in her “a rising star”, Opera Glass raves about the “beautiful voice and luminous high notes” and Crescendo praises the “great, special voice that can be powerful, but also quite lyrical and sensitive”
